What do you really want from me?
A question that has only been asked in our quest and pursuit for a marital relationship but ignored in friendship.
This question I believe should be asked not just in a marital relationship but in our relationship with people, because it would serve as a yardstick and a measuring system to measure levels of impacts and we not just exerting energy.
Our answers once we are asked, shouldn't be born out of greed and shouldn't be instituted for our personal desire to suite the hearing of the other party involved. Lately, If I'm being asked I wouldn't find articulate words not because I'm short of words but because I just discovered from - EPH 5:1-2(MSG) that my relationship with christ and the love of christ over me wasn't cautious but it was EXTRAVAGANT. He didn't love me in order to GET something from me (I couldn't have asked; Christ what do You want from me) but to give everything of himself to me.
Jesus whispered to me : LOVE LIKE THAT!!! WOOOoooooW
A relationship instigated by love, marked by giving, not getting. This would make us in our friendship and relationship whole. Our words will evoke our partners beauty that everything we say or do would be designed to bring the best out of your partner, dressing them in dazzling white silk.
What do you REALLY WANT FROM ME? ?
These lessons are not taught in the four walls of a classroom as my brother Kalu Ifeanyi would say, but in the school Of the Spirit...!!
I choose to Love like that.
I choose to Love to give and not Get.
