An Icon once said "Nobody is given the assignment to solve every problem but your life is wasted if it doesn't solve any. Therefore, carry your own cross and own it."
What then is the anointing; you may ask?
In the old testament the oil was used as a symbol of the anointing and when it comes upon a person, it makes the person consecrated unto God, Holy, set apart for His work and service.
"Like a skilled incense maker, blend these ingredients to make a holy anointing oil. Anoint Aaron and his sons also, consecrating them to serve as priests" - Exodus 30:25&30 NLT
It is therefore important that a man sets himself apart from anything dishonourable, so that he would be a special instrument set apart from the masters use and prepared for every good work - 2Timothy2:21.
The primary and first purpose of the anointing is to first seperate, consecrate and prepare you so that you can serve the Lord. The anointing is meant for service. The anointing doesn't come over night but subject to the 'process of time' which only God oversees. It requires seasons of detachment, purification and letting go of every weight that you may become an honorable vessel in Gods hands.
Every believer has a calling but just a few amongst many others are chosen. And those that are chosen are the ones that are anointed. There is also a provision for those that are called its called a "Mist"(Which represents a makeup for the anointing; but not the anointing).
The thin line that seperate the called from the chosen is 'The process of Time' - Where God test you just to purify your motives and intents, God puts you in a shelf and leaves you there for many years just to check if you would stay or leave.
"He that put his Hands on the plough and turns back, is not worthy". If you want to be worthy then no turning back...!!!
"He that put his Hands on the plough and turns back, is not worthy". If you want to be worthy then no turning back...!!!
The called and the chosen can be likened to a potential which goes through a series of process before it becomes an end product. The anointing doesn't come on Fresh skin; It comes on scars.!!!
The oil also represents the presence of God upon the carrier which in turn supernaturally empowers the carrier to do what he couldn't do before. God called Abraham at age 75 but fulfilled the promise at age 100 when Abraham had come to the end of himself. God fulfilled His promise not because of a disfunction but because Abraham had come to a place of no function.
"So as David stood among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David from that day on " - 1Samuel 16:13
To be anointed is to be "Chosen" and not just called, for it is what sets you apart for Gods service, it empowers, equips and increase you in the calling wherein ye are called. You need to be separated; come to a place of aloneness and then the anointing and power comes upon you to serve.
The proof that You have touched God is the transformation in your life.
